Found a great support group

I know this board doesn't get a lot of traffic, but if anyone has experienced a pregnancy loss, there is a great support group called Brief Encounters.  I went to my first group on Monday and it was a positive experience.

There is also a group for women that have lost pregnancies and are now struggling with infertility.

No, I don't work there, so I am not advertising.  I just thought it may be able to help others.

Re: Found a great support group

  • Thank you for posting it. Glad to hear you are dealing with your loss in a healthy way and sharing it with others. I know your pain and only wish you the best.

Here is another group in Redmond www.unbornangels.com that's been helpful to me. Finding ways to remember your loss is good.

My dh gave me a necklace with our baby's name on the back of the pendant for the first miscarriage (no one but me and him know that meaning which makes it special to me) and my sister gave me a cat right after our second miscarriage that I named after what I would have named it it had been girl.

it's extremely hard for me to share my loss with anyone else except with others who have experience it. I feel that they don't belive it's the same as losing a mother, father or child whom they've memories with. If you feel the same way...feel free to email me at justrid at hotmail dot com anytime no matter how crazy your thought it is.

  • I am glad you found a support group in the area. Keep strong!
  • I'm glad you found support, loss like this is hard to deal with sometimes. I may have to look into this as well. Thank you for the link.
