Mani-pedi for me is $35 or $40. I can't remember because sometimes I bring my own polish and they give me a discount for that.
I tip around 20%, sometimes more.
Mani-pedi in an el cheapo salon $17. I tip like $3 if its good.
The one I am going to in Astoria later (Eve's Nails) is a nicer place and charges like $27, here I tip like $5.
Nice to see you again, Leslie. How are renovations going?

Looking real good, Leslie! Your home looks so beautiful.
We are ok. We said we were taking a break from renovating but ofcourse, we can't stop! This evening, DH is finishing painting the outside foundation wall. Tomorrow, we are going to have estimates for capping the remainder of our windows and for repairing our stairs - they are a mess as you can see in my bio.
We really need to stop with the renos and focus on furnishing the house, but there's still so much to do.

I think my place is more around $30 now that I am thinking about it. I can't think clearly these days.
Welcome to the board!
The place I usually go to charges $15 for mani-pedi and I usually tip $3.
Bubblegum Explosion
Oh, the benefits of living in Bayside and having 6 nail salons in two blocks (no joke, that's how many there are in two blocks of my house).
I was paying $23 for mani and pedi, but found a new place that does them both for $13!!! $13 for a mani/pedi, that is unreal!!
I usually tip $7 or $8 regardless of how much it cost. Because 20% of $13 is ridiculously low for the amount of time they spend on both the mani and pedi.
Welcome!
I usually pay $30 and tip $7-8.
