PIP your card boxes Please!
Hey girls! I haven't been back on here in a while- hope everyone's doing well.
I was hoping for some help. I need some ideas for easy card boxes- my cousin is getting married and asked for my help in making hers. Its basically turned into me making it. It's not a formal wedding- its her second, his first so that had a private ceremony and are having a reception in a couple weeks. I have no idea what to do! I rented our card box so I didn't even make my own. Any ideas or pictures would be great! TIA!

I got a bare wood treasure chest from Joanne Fabrics.
This is a link to a paper mache one that you can paint as you see fit.

My husband made ours out of an old wooden wine crate. He painted it, added paper mache and roses. This isn't the finished product but it gives you an idea. I also suggest checking out etsy for ideas. They have tons of card boxes that you can borrow ideas from.
Oh! Mine was easy! I'll try to get a picture up here sometime over the weekend.
1. I chose two square boxes (one a bit smaller than the other) I had received gifts in at my shower.
2. I cut a hole on the top off the bigger one (the hole was smaller than the bottom of the smaller box) then wrapped it (keeping the hole open).
3. I cut most of the bottom off the smaller one and cut a slit in the top then wrapped it (keeping the holes open).
4. I glued the two boxes together and decorated with some ribbon, a sign that said "cards" and a couple fake butterflies.

Ours was a bird cage we bought at Joann's. It was a wrought iron color, so I spray painted it copper to match our color scheme, we printed out a sign on extra card stock we had, and attached it with a ribbon. Pretty easy, except for the spray painting, which just took time and patience. If you don't wait for the paint to fully dry you end up botching it.
We also used a birdcage--sorry I don't have a pic from the wedding!
Great Ideas, I will talk to her and see which one she likes best. Thanks girls!
