Earthquake? Here?!
Apparently we had a little earthquake this morning. I did not feel it even though I was unable to sleep ... again.
So seriously, what's up with the weird severe weather/disasters going on around the world over the past 5yrs or so? We're all gonna die...

I was at a new client site this morning and all of a sudden the building starts to slightly rumble and I am like "WHAT IS THAT??" I thought it was an earthquake but apparently the office is just really really close to the airport and its the rumble from the planes landing, geez!
I didn't know Virginia had earthquakes, glad you are OK though! Speaking of natural disasters, I hear that this hurricane season is supposed to be wretched! They need to be cleaning up that oil spill faster, it's agonizing how long it is all taking.
HH makes jokes about 2012 all the time.. I can't remember what movie we saw an article about online, but he said "Aww, it we're not going to get to see it. Comes out in 2012."

My mom lives in San Diego and she's convinced that 2012 is actually going to happen because of all the earthquakes they've been having out there...
As much as my sensible side knows that it's just silly, the crazy paranoid side of me is freaking out! Doesn't help that I actually watched 2012 last night! haha
Exactly! I know it's a big load of BS, but I hate watching shows about the end of the world.. it freaks me out. Not to mention all the crazy natural disasters!
The world CANNOT end in 2012, we ladies just got started!! And what if the Mayans just ran out of calendar space?

It's the apocalypse! Earthquakes, floods, storms, oil spills, volcanos...the earth is getting tired of us! The 2012 thing kinda freaks me out too.

your resident may 2010 geologist chiming in here to let you know earthquakes happen pretty much everywhere. most of them are way too faint to feel though. the new madrid fault area (missouri/tennessee/kentucky/etc) is one of the most dangerous in the world. for example...check out this map. bet you didn't hear about 99% of these. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/
p.s. all the 2012 stuff is BS. now, the yellowstone supervolcano...that is something to worry about. it is due any time now (every ~600,000 years, but there is no activity right now to suggest it is doing anything any time soon) and when it goes...well, you wouldn't want to live through it anyway.
