Good places to hike in the Upstate?
Hey ladies, my DH has agreed to a weekend in a cabin for a friend's upcoming birthday. I'm guessing all sorts of outdoorsy stuff will take place. I'd really like to start hiking again now (I used to in HS but it's been 10 years) and I think it's going to be fairly hilly where we are going, so I want to start hiking once a week or so now just to make sure I'm not the loser who is holding all the mountain-goats in the group back.
So where are some good places to start in the Upstate? Where are some places to go for a more challenging hike also? I'd like to work my way up. I have a month and a half, so not long!
Re: Good places to hike in the Upstate?
Hey there.
Other than the trails and such around falls park, I'd say go check out Paris Mountain and maybe Table Rock (in Pickens). I'm like you, it's been a LONG time since I've hiked but those are the places I hear the most about from my more "outdoorsy" friends.
Hope this helps!! :-)
