I bought R a 5-pack of onesies

is that weird?

I like to put them under stuff in the winter and under his jammies too.  He doesn't wear just onesies and pants or shorts - that makes him look too young.  But, I hate the way his clothes ride up and his belly shows sometimes - especially in the winter when it's cold!

My friend made a comment a few months ago that her nephew still wears onesies regularly and she thought it was weird.  When I said that R still wears them, she told me to get over it.  (What a meanie)

ETA: I guess he won't be in them when he's potty training though...but I'm not sure if that'll be this winter or not.  I hope to do it over my Christmas break, but only if he's ready.

Re: I bought R a 5-pack of onesies

  • How old is he? I don't think it's weird at all ... it's totally your call. I know mine didn't wear them much past baby age. Abby wears them around the house (not in public!) in the summer. She will be 18 months this November so I probably will put them on her in the winter under jammies.

You for sure won't want him in them when it comes time to PT. The less clothes the better. I actually let A run around in nothing but undies for a long time (as long as we had no company). It was easier that way.

  • I don't think it's weird. I like to layer too, and I know what you mean about the belly showing when it gets cold!
