Welcome scg00387!

I won't hate you because you sport the JD green Stick out tongue

Congrats on the new marriage! Give us the scoop on the big day and any honeymoon. Did the move go okay?

Are you on the Iowa side or Illinois side?

Re: Welcome scg00387!

  • Thanks, that is very kind of you! I am surprised this board isn't more active. We're on the Iowa side, in Bettendorf. We got married in Des Moines and honeymooned in Seattle & an Alaskan cruise- boy do I miss that crisp 70 degree weather!! I can hardly peel myself out of my car to run errands and finish getting everything set up here! The move was the easiest I've ever had though-John Deere treats its employees very well and provided us professional movers! I do have a bit of eco-guilt though from all the packing paper they used.. even pillows were wrapped up! Yikes! I don't know much about Peoria- how far is it from the QC?
  • Peoria is about 100 miles away... hour and a half to two hours, depending on how fast you can drive (or how many speed traps are in Henry County, IL). It's a straight shot down I-74 from the QC.

I miss DSM Crying I would have loved to live there permanently, but the grass is greener elsewhere.
