And...we're moving.

H got orders over the weekend. We're moving to Florida at the beginning of 2011. I think I'm going to stay here until our lease is up after next summer's enrollment, then it's off to The Sunshine State we go.

We were hoping to get Colorado, but that didn't happen. I'm sure we'll be back to visit often, though. :)

Re: And...we're moving.

  • Aww, we'll miss you! But Florida isn't bad at least! Lots of fun stuff to do there!

  • I think Florida would be fun! But, I can totally understand how it'd be disappointing to not get to go where you wanted...

    What part of Florida?

  • Oh wow!  At least Florida seems to have a lot to offer, you definitely could be stuck living somewhere worse.

So does this mean you and H will be living together?  Hope everything goes smoothly with your move!
  • We're moving to Cocoa Beach. H is thrilled because we're by the ocean. The only thing I think of is hurricanes. :P It's 1.5 hours from Orlando, and we have family within two hours of us, so it won't be too bad.

For the first time EVER, H and I will be living under the same roof. I'm sad to be moving so far away from Oklahoma, but 1.) we're trying to come back here after his tour in FL, and 2.) I'll be here until our lease is up, so I still got time (and one more OSU/Thunder season). I haven't moved out of state in 16 years...it'll be weird. But H is excited, so I am, too. :)

  • Glad you are excited and supportive of your husband.  I think you will have a blast in FL, and getting to live under the same roof will be awesome!

Just remember, you have a few days notice vs. a few minutes.

To say the least. We found out we were leaving Italy 2 weeks before our departure date. Movers, errands, transitioning job for me... best of luck, Florida is a great place!

Congrats! JJ will love growing up by the ocean. I know I did. Hurricane season can be pretty scary but as someone has mentioned you have a lot of warning before they really hit.
