On Friday, my mom and I went to get a mani/pedi.  We got a shellac mani.  With this mani the polish is not supposed to chip, peel, or pretty much do anything for like two weeks.  My mom and I were so excited because we always mess our nails up.  Even though the girls told us they were chip proof, I was still being extremely careful.

Friday night, my mom, H, and me go to a comedy club.  I was walking up the stairs and I hit my finger on the rail holder.  I look down and one of my nails had chipped.  Then Sunday morning, I was taking paper out of a box and noticed a finger was having paint peel back on it.  By time I got to the nail place the polish was completely off my finger.  The girl fixing them looked at both hands and fixed the two messed up ones plus one more.

Fast forward today, the only nails that have polish on them now are the three that I got fixed yesterday, all of the rest have peeled off on their own.  I have not done anything to destroy my nails.  I think it is time to find a new nail salon.

I would definitly be finding a new nail salon. It is suppost to stay on for 2 weeks and it didnt even make it one week.

Yikes! I'd be mad too.  I was thinking of going to get the shellac mani Fri before we leave for our HM.  Do you thhink it's the salon or the shellac just isn't as good as they say it is?

My mom got the shellac as well and hers still look perfect.  I think the girl that did mine just didn't do it right.  Everybody else that was in the shop that had it done loved it as well.  I think I just had a bad manicurist.

I had that mani done before my wedding and it lasted about a week before it started to peel.  My sister had the OPI Axxium done and hers lasted a lot longer.  I think I will stick to Axxium from now on.  The only reason I had Shellac done was becuase I liked a color better than the OPI colors.

That stinks! I got just a regular French manicure before the wedding & it lasted a good 10 days. Probably would have even longer if I wasn't in all the chlorine and salt water.

Not that you will get your money back or anything, but could you tell her you weren't happy with it? Maybe she will make things right for you if you give her a second chance.

That stinks! Nail polish NEVER lasts on my nails- no matter what kind it is. I went to a salon and got my natural nails painted with a french tip and then just a clear coat. They were gone by Monday morning when we left for the honeymoon...
