W're thinking about switching around our internet and cable. I cannot live another daywith my crappy AT&T DSL that decides to restart itself every 2 min. We currently have our home phone with AT&T plus DSL for $46/mo. Our cable is just basic through Time Warner for $49/mo.
So what other options do we have for internet? (and one that doesn't use the phone line since apparently our jacks don't work in the basement)
And should we move to Dish Network? I know it says local channels, but does that include Fox Sports network so DH can still watch the Reds? Could we stay under $60/mo including taxes if we have three boxes (only need DVR on one though....but prefer two)???
Thanks for your input!
Re: Internet/cable options...
We just switched to Dish and our package (America's Top 250) is $65 a month after taxes and it includes FSN Ohio so we get all the Reds games. We have one DVR that works in 2 rooms - you can watch different channels in each room since it's a multi-tuner, and another receiver in another room (so we have service in 3 rooms).
They also have some kind of deal set up with Cincinnati Bell where our DSL is $30 a month w/out a phone line. I guess you aren't wanting to keep that for internet though?
Insight was not willing to match Cincinnati Bell's price for remaining our Broadband provider and internet service with them. We were set on switching away from them for cable since we have a pretty large HD tv in our family room and we were tired of them not expanding their HD channel offerings.
