Has any heard of or have Florida Family Insurance? or St. John's insurance? We are looking to get quotes and ideas. We have state farms with our auto, life, and renters: but the aren't writing any polices. TIA
Re: Home owner's insurance?
I had St Johns with my other house prior to it becoming a rental. My premium was super cheap. Were talking a $1000/yr less than what I paid with Allstate. I never made a claim with them so I am not sure how they would work out with that. I do know they are a reputable company.
The only reason I cancelled was because they do not write rental insurance policies. We didn't use them on our new house only because the mortgage broker had a company they worked with that gave me the same quote as St Johns, it was easier to just let the broker handle everything.
I was cancelled by Allstate (never made a claim) and my agent recommended St. Johns. I've been with them a year, and my premiums are about $800 a year less than Allstate. Again, I haven't made a claim so I can't tell you if that process is easy or difficult with them.
Good luck.
I also had St. Johns never made a claim so I don't know how they'd handled it but my Insurance Agent said great things about them. Here's his info if you need some help:
