Things to do in the area....
Hello!
I am visiting from the Colorado board. I am coming out to LA and Orange County area for 4-5 days in August to visit friends. I have been there several times and seen the "touristy" areas, but I am wondering if there are some fun day trips or activities I can adventure on while they are at work? I thought that all of you would know! Thanks for any advice!
Re: Things to do in the area....
This sounds cheesy, but one of those Hollywood van tours. When my MIL was in town, we were considering one and they needed to fill one of the vans, so they dropped the price. Our driver was really entertaining, he even mixed his own soundtrack. Bring a few dollars to tip the driver, if s/he is good.
Glen Ivy might be a little bit of a distance, but it's WORTH the drive... it's a heavenly day spa, teachers get a discount with some form of proof, and if you go, pay the extra twenty-five dollars to do the grotti!! Sooo worth it!
For teachers, the day costs 32 dollars, and everyone else pays 39 :]
