I've mentioned before that I'm very involved with planning events for my HOA (Happy Hours during the summer, Spring Block Party, Halloween Block Party, Supper Club, Progressive Dinner, etc.). We got one of the coolest emails last night. A local realtor wants to sponsor one of our events (buy the food and drinks), in exchange for having her cards available and having us advertise that she sponsored the event. It is a great deal for both parties involved. But personally it is super rewarding to have "outsiders" hear of the success of the event you planned and want to take on the cost it!
