Double Stroller recommendation for the city

We are going to be temporarily living in Manhattan for 3-10 months for my husband's work (see post below) and I need to get a good double stroller for my kids who are 3.5 and 1.5.  I'd like to get something like a BOB Duallie (I won't be driving, so the stroller will be my mode of transportation w/the kids).  Will it be impossible to push something so big down the busy sidewalks of Manhattan?  Any other recommendations?
Thanks!

Re: Double Stroller recommendation for the city

  • I don't have any kids yet, so I won't be offended if you completely ignore my response, lol.

I think most of the double strollers that I see people with in the city are more of the front seat/rear seat (tandem?) style.  I do see some people with the side-by-side double strollers but I imagine that they must be more difficult in crowded areas, subways, and stores with narrower aisles.

    GL and welcome!

  • that's what i was thinking, too, but i highly doubt either of my kids will sit on the bottom of a phil and ted's.  i already have a font/back one, and it's like a boat, but i don't use it too much where i live now.
