My levels went up again!!!!

I got my blood tested again today (last one was last Thurs) and it doubled again!  Now my hcg level is 46500.  WTF!!!!!!!

The nurse is going to talk to the doc tomorrow.  She thinks I will come in for an ultrasound to investigate.

Ugh.

Re: My levels went up again!!!!

  • hopefully they do the u/s to figure out whats going on
  • Hmmmm ... that's interesting. How are you feeling? You would think they would want to get an U/S right away. I had the same thing happen to me. I sat in the drs. office w/ a very pregnant doctor herself as she told me I was going to lose the baby and she was sorry. The drs. office called me several hours later alarmed that my hcg # were in the double thousands! They sent me to the hospital for an u/s that day. (I have a history of etopics). The day started out horrible (I was so upset I was going to lose another baby) and then a few hours later I was told ehhh maybe they were wrong!  Talk about a crazy roller coaster ride! Fingers crossed for you!!
  • One of the docs (the one I saw two weeks ago and agreed with ER doc that baby was gone) is now on maternity leave.  There are two docs left in practice and the one isn't in until this afternoon so the nurse was going to talk to her then.  If I don't hear from the office by 3ish, I am going to call.  It could be several things....

    1.  I could have tissue left which if that is the case, that was two weeks ago and I am worried about adverse effects but I am not showing any signs of infection so I don't know.

    2.  It could be a blighted ovum which is when the fertilized egg is there but no embryo so it's a fake out pregnancy of sorts where you have all the pregnancy signs and symptoms.

    3.  I could have been pregnant with twins, lost one and am still currently preggers with the remaining baby.

#1 is hard.  I would have to have A LOT of tissue left to continue to double my hcg level into 46,500.  #2 seems like the obvious option.  #3 is possible.  I do have bouts of upset tummy but that is about it.  If I am pregnant, I am 7 weeks so many signs would just now start to appear.

I DON'T KNOW AND IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
