F/U how do you clean your diva cup?
Just curious. I saw on the website that you are suppose to boil it? I think my DH would get so creaped out seeing it on the stovetop!
Re: F/U how do you clean your diva cup?
I secretly boil too.
Hee hee heeee......
Best sound ever: baby's heartbeat! (Heard @ 10w1d)
I clean it up with soap and an old toothbrush regularly and I'll boil it on occassion - secretly when DH isn't around.
I also store it in a container with a little baking soda between cycles.
I boil it.
DH even adds water if the pot gets low and will turn it off when the timer beeps if he is closest.
I rinse during the day and use soap and water in the AM.
I didn't boil it last time but this time is much more "real" period for me (I've only been spotting the last two months) so I'll boil.
I've boiled it in the microwave.
I don't think that's the recommended method, but it can't boil dry that way, and I figure nothing will survive a microwave and boiling.
I do admit - I don't boil it every month. I've never had an infection or anything. As long as it's well rinsed with soapy water, I think it's fine.
I rinse it each time I empty and wash with Dr.B's a few times a cycle + at the beginning and end.
Probably every other cycle or so I either boil it with half water & half vinegar or soak it in hydrogen peroxide overnight. The H2O2 works best IMO, at least visibly.
