How to wash floor mats from the van?

I am thinking the dishwasher wont be the first answer. But H wanted me to unload the dishwash so that he can put the mats in. I laugh and have that 'oh sh!t, your serious' look, after he asks what I find funny. I remind him that the  laundry washer is empty, but no. He thinks the tumbling in the washer might ruin them. Indifferent

Re: How to wash floor mats from the van?

  • Oh my...  Men have silly thoughts.  I don't think I'd put them in the dishwasher.  I'd put them in the washer before anything.   I've done it in the past and it doesn't hurt them at all.
  • Confused How in the world did he come up with the dishwasher?! I sure as heck wouldn't want sand and all the other crap that'd come out of the floor mats in my dishwasher. haha  You can just throw them in the washing machine, if he's nervous then he can just use the delicate cycle. This is pretty funny though.
  • They are still in the dishwasher. I havent even look at them yet. Tongue Tied

He actually ran them through a cycle in there?

  • Yup, he did. He read it in some handyman's magazine. They actually loik pretty clean, but I will be damned if I say that to him. Stick out tongue

...but how did your dishwasher fair? I can't imagine all the dirt that's probably in there. I wouldn't say anything to my DH either. hahaha

  • Dishwasher looked fine. I had him run an extra rinse cycle though.
