WTF Wednesdays

Okay ladies, what makes you want to say WTF this week?

Re: WTF Wednesdays

  • The HEAT. OMG. I can't take it! When we got our apartment, we thought it had A/C, as that was on the list of things we needed. When we moved in, we thought it wouldn't be a big deal as we looked up the average high for July (83 degrees, btw, based on the last 30 years. Last year it was 80) and figured we could handle it. The average this year is around 88. The difference between 83 and 88 when you have no A/C is a lot. It's like somebody knows we don't have A/C and is torturing us   =P
  • I totally agree with the heat thing. I am from MS so the highs there a lot higher.. The difference for me is that in MS I drove everywhere and now I do a lot of walking.

Funny story that made me go WTF. Last night we were on our way home and we stopped at CJ's Grill because it is open really late. When we walked in this homeless guy follows us in asking for money to eat with. DH told him sorry, he didn't have any extra. Well the guy starts going off about how we are racist and calling us trailer trash and saying he was going to beat DH up. I couldn't stop laughing. This guy was in his seventies and DH and my brother who was with us could knock him over with their pinkies.

Anyway, he caused a huge scene and then the owner of the grill called the cops on him.

It was just funny because as many bums as we pass everyday, we've never seen one act that way. WTF.

  • That's crazy! It's so weird when they go off on you sometimes. I love that there's actually not many bums in Chicago, it makes it so much nicer to walk around  =)

I'm so sick of being asked for money. No you lazy punk, it's my money and if I gave it away to everyone with a sign, I'd be next to you begging for money also Can't wait to move to the burbs and not walk past 5 bumbs a day.

  • The heat... I feel like a prisoner in my home because it's just way too hot to go out. Even worse, it's too hot for me to grill so I'm stuck cooking with the stovetop/oven since I really don't have any crockpot dishes I'm in the mood to make. Blah!

I just hope the heat cools a bit next week because I've got a big baby shower cake I'm making for a client and I don't want to deal with melting buttercream...
