Personal Trainers?

Good morning ladies! =)

So I was wondering if anyone uses a personal trainer that they would recommend?  I am on the weight loss path right now because I am getting married next year and because I want to be in shape and healthy again. I gained a lot of weight after a car accident last year that left my body hard to move!

I used to use Planet Fitness as a gym but had a very bad experience with them and refuse to go back. We live next to a Boston Sports Club, but their memberships are $50+ a month which I personally think is too much. We are located in Andover, not far from the Tewksbury line. But I work in Woburn on the Winchester line so anywhere in between would work for me.

I've been working out at home, but think I need someone to push me. I was a cheerleader most of my life and danced so I always had someone pushing me past my limits and I think I need to find that again! Someone told me about Get In Shape For Women, but didn't know how their prices were. Any one have feedback on them?

Any suggestions on where to go? Thanks girls!

xo Jeannie =)

Re: Personal Trainers?

  • Here's the thing. Most trainers will cost you a pretty penny, WAY more than what BSC or any other gym will cost. So if you're looking for someone to help you, you might consider BSC (or a gym like it). They have a staff of trainers that can help you (you get a couple free sessions when you sign up). They can teach you the basics and then you could do it on your own.

I go to BSC in Watertown and they have great classes that are 'trainer like', meaning they will do strength training, etc.... to get you in shape.

Also, your company might offer a discount to BSC. Mine does!
