Road Trip

I am planning a road trip in the next few weeks and I have never been to Vermont. Where are some places that are a must see while I am in the state?

Re: Road Trip

  • Hi!  Vermont is a beautiful state!  MH and I live in the Burlington area, which is great.  I would definitely check out Burlington and the Lake Champlain waterfront.  The lake is great this time of year.  There are also lots of shops and restaurants downtown, so it's easy to make a day of it. :)

If you're coming on I-89 N, (up from Montpelier,) Burlington is exit 14W for downtown, and So. Burlington is exit 14E.

I would also recommend the Waterbury-Stowe area.  It's cute and there are some places like the Ben and Jerry's factory that are fun to visit.  Exit 10

Last, both the Shelburne museum and Shelburne farms are beautiful.  Exit 13.:)

    Enjoy your time in Vermont!
