Help with Date Night!!

My birthday is this weekend so my hubby and I are planning a night out without kiddos for Friday. I know this sounds sad, but I really don't know where I want to go...I told my hubby to take me to Red Lobster and whatever else...He said told me it was sad if that was all I could come up with...so now Im trying to think of something a little more fun. We live north of Denton but will definitely venture towards Dallas or FtWorth...Please share ideas...Im definitely craving crab (as for the red lobster idea)..any ideas for a good seafood restaurant...he said Landrys but apparently they have closed.....I was thinking maybe dancing or a comedy club..PLEASE HELP ME PLAN A FUN NIGHT OUT!!!!!  tia:)

Re: Help with Date Night!!

  • I would go to addison. It wouldn't be too far for you and there is a ton to do. Nates is a great seafood and steakhouse. it is off midway and beltline. Casual atmosphere but GREAT food. Afterwards, you could go see a show at the improv comedy club. My family owns the club and I used to work there. I'm not sure what comedian is there this weekend but it's always lots of fun! Another idea is 300 off of beltline. It is a very nice higher end bowling alley with full bar, food, pool tables, games etc. Have fun!
  • I agree w/ pp.

Addison - Truluck's for dinner, Addison Improv for show.

  • I'm not a lot of help with comedy clubs or nightclubs, but since you are in Denton, you probably aren't TOO far from my favorite fine dining restaurant- The Classic Cafe in Roanoke. We went there last month for my birthday and it was perfect! This place is so yummy and they have a really nice ambiance for a romantic dinner with your hubby!

  • You girls are awesome...My hubby just called with the exact same idea...Nates and the Improv. Should be fun!! THanks:)
  • We love going to the melting pot. The food is awesome, and we get a long period of time to relax and just enjoy the company of each other.

  • No suggestions...just wanted to pop in and say how jealous I am that you're getting a date night. :)
  • Oooo... if you go to Truluck's, you HAVE to get the Chocolate Bag for desert (not sure what it's called, but YUM!!!) then you can walk across the street to the Dragonfly club at Hotel Zaza for a drink (the bar is poolside-very nice).  I also Love the Improv.

    The Chocolate Bag desert... YUM!

That's a pricey evening, though, so it all depends on your budget.  I also love Gloria's and Fogo de Chao if you decide to go for something other than seafood.
