Intro!

DH and I just recently moved to STL from Boston, where we lived for a few years, though we are both originally from Ohio.

We live in the city, between Tower Grove and Soulard/Lafayette Square, and so far we love it.  We are renting, and were pleasantly surprised by our place (we never saw it in person before we moved).

We've had fun exploring the city and find great places to eat and things to do.  Any suggestions from you ladies would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to chatting with you!

Re: Intro!

  • Welcome!  I've been here about a year now and still figuring things out.  But it's a great place to live and the people I've met have been really nice!

So far, I love to eat at Mosaic, Smokin' Joe's, and Cafe Napoli.  I also had fun going to the London Tea Room for "high tea."

    Love my family!

  • Welcome to the board!  We've lived here for almost 2 years and it's going pretty good.  I love Atlas, Blueberry Hill, Pi, and Pappys.

  • Lived here all of my life.  Some of my fav restaurant spots include Favazzas and Guidos (both on The Hill), House of Wong in Clayton, Bar Louie (Kirkwood or CWE), Vin de Set (Choteau), The King and I (S. Grand)... I could keep going!
  • You should try Eleven Eleven Mississippi - it's right around you in Lafayette Square.  It's a great wine bistro and so delicious!

Welcome! I grew up on The Hill (which is close to you) and you can't beat Favazza's, Adriana's, Guido's or Rigazzi's. Also, Chocolate Bar is a fun martini bar. For things to do, check out the Missouri Botanical Garden and anything in Forest Park, including the Muny.
