Visiting soon for birthday weekend

Hey Charleston ladies!

I am planning a surpise trip to your lovely city next week for my husband's birthday and I am in need of a little help.  We will be there for 3 nights and I wanted to get some suggestions for yummy places to eat, as well as any ideas for what we could do for his actual birthday night, etc.  I know there are a ton of things to do around there, but any suggestions would be great.  We are in our late 20's and are looking for anything romantic, fun, and unique.  Thanks so much!!!

Re: Visiting soon for birthday weekend

  • I like Magnolia's for dinner although if it's his birthday he may like Oak Steakhouse. It is a real man's man place and is delicious (it is a bit pricey).

East Bay Street and King Street both have bars up and down. Social and Cypress have wine bars that are pretty good if he is into wine.

  • Hall's Chophouse is really good for an upscale (pricey steahouse).  I have never eaten at Grill 225, but it is supposed to be good; it is located in the Market Pavilion hotel which has a great rooftop bar which you could go for drinks before or after dinner.

Vendue also has a roof top bar as does Henry's on market street.
