Things to do?
I live in western KY but was hoping you ladies could help me. DH and I
are planning to go to St. Louis for the weekend for our anniversary in
August. Anyone have any suggestions on places to eat or things to do?
Neither of us have ever been there so any suggestions would be great.

totally depends on what kinds of things you are looking for - the zoo is awesome and free (recommend a stroll through the penguin/puffin exhibit to cool of on a hot day), botanical gardens are beautiful. several museums (art & history museums/science center) are all located in forest park in the city & are also free.
into something more off-beat - i'd suggest university city "the loop". drinking/music/restaurants on a strip but don't wander too far east (toward Skinker) to avoid iffy neighborhoods.
you could visit Lumiere Casino (owned by Nelly and some others) which is not far from the arch downtown. there are some decent restaurants inside.
The City Museum is a cool experience - look at their website b/c I can't really explain it except that it is a giant playground constructed of art and trash. (with drinks on the weekends).
