I want to send you a pm with the name of my broker, but I don't know how, duh!  She is with Brown Harris Stevens. 

I will say that it is rought out there.  There is very little worth seeing on the market.  I have several friends who are looking, and one just gave up and resigned her old lease.  If Firedancers place is any good, jump on it!  We saw a lot of crap when we were looking.  Also you may want to expand your search into Windsor Terrace, just to open up some options, it is one neighborhood over (or up?) from Park Slope,and pretty much bleeds into PS.

Thanks for the tip on Windsor Terrace! Will definately check it out.  We're also going to check out Prospect Heights and Carroll Gardens..

DH has resigned himself to the fact that we're probably going to have no choice but to go with a broker   I think given that we have NO choice but to find somewhere to live in the 5 days we're out there in a couple of weeks (Aug 4-8), we can't be too picky this go around.. Maybe in a year when our lease is up, we can be a little pickier So we might not get our dream house, but we'll get something I'm sure!

cobble hill and boerum hill are also adjoined to the park slope loveliness, and i can vouch for either of those hoods as family friendly and convenient.
