What Do You Think?

So I was talking to DH about getting close family members (i.e. aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents, etc) a small framed picture of DH and I from our wedding as part of their Christmas present. DHdoesn't like that idea, but he really didn't give me a reason WHY (I think he might have said it was cheesy or something). I personally like the idea because it's nice to have framed pictures of family! It would probably be a picture of just DH & I, although we did get a family picture in there (DH's Dad's side and my Dad's side) so I could give everyone that but they didn't come out as good as I wanted them to, so I'd rather give them a spectacular one rather than an OK one.

What do you girls think? Should I just do it anyway? It wouldn't be very big, just a 4x6 probably, and I was going to get some nice frames as Christmas Tree Shop or something like that

Re: What Do You Think?

  • I think it's a great idea. We just gave my MIL a bunch of framed pictures from our wedding for her bday and she loved them.  A lot of people procrastinate with printing and framing pictures these days since all the pictures are digital now, so I'd bet they'd really appreciate it.

  • I think its a nice idea! I'd want a picture. I gave one to my mom, and one to my dad for mother's/father's day (one of me w/ each of them)
  • I would for sure do parents and grandparents.  If you think your aunts and uncles would appreciate and display them, then go for it.

  • I'd totally do it!!!  I wanted to do something like that for my family but since I have so many aunts, uncles & cousins (that I'm close to) it would've broken the bank.  So I decided to put our wedding picture on our moving announcement that I'm sending to all my family in PA.

My cousin managed to get a shot of my dad with Mike and my brother in law, and we are going to get a frame at Things Remembered and have "Sanford and Sons" engraved on it since that's my dad's first name.  :)  That was Mike's idea.
