What did you ladies do with your squash from last week?
I've been totally out of it this week with cooking and I have a lot of stuff left that I need to use before the morning comes!
Last night I cut them open to roast in the oven and then decided I didn't want to cook - so I made grilled cheese instead. Now i have six halves chilling out in my fridge.
WHAT DO I DO?!!

I haven't made them yet, b/c of the cleanse, but this is our go-to recipe.

Okay, question for you Tay...
Last time we got BS I made these, and they did NOT turn out right. They were yummy, but floppy/soggy/not crispy. I left them in for more than the allotted time - they were even charring a bit.
Any super special secrets?
Did you press them btw paper towels to get rid of excess water?
I slice them very, very thin, and I find that a wire rack helps too. I always end up baking them for at least 45 minutes.
If that doesn't work, maybe turn the broiler on for a minute or so while they are finishing up?

I will try that - I loved the flavour of them, but just want them to be more fry-like.
Thanks!
Butternut squash has the most delicious flavor on its own, I really love when we get them in BB.
GL!

I peeled cut into chunks, sauteed in butter/oil until browned, added 1/4 cup water cover and cooked till tender.
Salt , pepper and garlic was in the mix too
I didn't get BB last week because we had some much stocked up. I wish I had because my kids LOVE butternut squash. I was at my sister's yesterday and she made a bisque. I'll see if I can get the recipe for you because it was AMAZING!!!!
