I'm trying to get some inspiration for both my island and my kitchen table. Something besides my napkin holder/s &p shaker set.
Presently... some fresh lemons from thr grocery store in a fancy bowl I got as a wedding present. I have intended to make lemonade all week, but been lazy. Will need to do that before they spoil though.
Would it be cheesy to cut some of the Queen Anne's Lace wildflowers growing near the house? (And put them in a vase) There really aren't any other nice looking wildflowers otherwise... just weeds.
Re: Table Centerpieces
Well I can't call the Queen Annie's Lace cheesy because I did the same thing last week! They looked pretty. They just made a little mess when they started dying (pieces started falling off) Go for it!
Other ideas...candles with pretty holders, a potted plant...that's about the extent to my creativity.
Where I grew up, Queen Anne's Lace was considered a weed.
Are there any green plants around with nice looking foliage? You could even do a few bare branches in a vase for something simple and interesting.
I previously had a aloe vera plant (in a small pot) I got for Xmas.
I will have to look into the stick with leaves thingy. Lots of poision ivy near us, so I'll have to look hard.
Thanks ladies!
Yuuuuuuuck...
You can check Hobby Lobby for sticks.
