The pile has no recognizable food scraps whatsoever, it is brown and somewhat light and fluffy (still slightly damp). It smells earthy, like soil. But it doesn't quite resemble dirt/soil. It's got recognizable pieces of leaves..alhtough they are very small. Is it going to break down into actual dirt? Or is it done enough to spread?
My other pile is outgrowing it's space, so I'm hoping I can use the first compost and let the second pile cook. I am having a hard time turning it!
