What part of WI are you in? Hubby is there right now for a festival. I've been hearing about the weather, but where he is, it isn't so bad. But...on the other hand his RV is infested with some type of bed bug or something or other. :)

Re: **Jaye #2**

  • I'm in the central part of the state. Pittsville is the actual center  and that's about 10 miles from here. We had a HUGE storm last night that lasted for about an hour and had some pretty decent bolts of lightening and lots of rain attached. And then today is a little rainy and gloomy but not storming anymore.

What festival is he here for?

Oh, and it's probably fleas.  They are EVERYWHERE!  The little boogers get on your shoes and socks and pants and hang on and go inside with you.  Then if you lie down on your bed wearing your clothes they go, too!!  Though it could also be bed bugs... we had a bed bug infestation here at camp last week.  Talk about annoying!  Luckily it never made it into my cabin but the girl's cabin got attacked pretty bad!

  • I called him yesterday morning and said, "So are you one of the two people hit by lightening?" He had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently where he is, it isn't so bad.

He's working Country Jam right now. Then next week....I don't remember the name haha.

His brother is with him, and he got bit all over. He had to go to the ER last night. It's bad. They're fumigating the RV right now, clothes and luggage in it. I'm thoroughly disgusted by this lol

  • Ah, I figured it would be Country Jam!  I almost went to that but couldn't afford the tickets.  But I like country music and I've had the radio on all day and they've been talking about it non-stop.

Tell them to wash their clothes after they've sprayed!  That stuff BURNS your skin and gets into your clothes... it's nasty!  But pretty much what we had to do!

  • Oh! And tell him to take his shoes and socks off before going inside the RV.  If it is fleas they ride in on shoes and socks!
  • Festival tickets are insanely over priced. And you'd think because he works for them, we could get in for at least a discount? Nope. Gotta pay full price. Not cool dude.

And I will definitely tell him your tips. I haven't talked to him today so I'm not sure if they figured it out, how his brother is or anything.

  • He has to pay full price!?  That's ridiculous!  What's he doing there???
  • Oh, yeah, it's ridiculous!!! He does the ticketing for festivals. Mainly country ones, but some other random ones too like Voodoo in New Orleans. All the festivals in AZ. His brother started the company 3 years ago with 3 guys, and barely 5 festivals. Now they have 7 employees, and over 20 festivals.

He obviously doesn't have to pay when he's working the festival, but if there was one that he wasn't working and we wanted to go, we'd have to pay. I think its poopy. Especially since he's the main guy that talks to the festival CEO's and stuff. He should just ask, but he's a pansy. lol

Update on bed bugs: His brother came back from the ER, and they couldn't for sure tell him what it was. They think it might be tick bites, so they gave him some antibiotics. And they're staying in the hotel for the night. But still during the day, they're in the RV. :(

  • Tick bites!?  That's crazy!  Good thing they gave him the antibiotics.  As someone who didn't get them soon enough and now has frequent side effects from Lyme Disease- that's something you don't want to mess with!!  That weird though because you can see ticks, if they were in the RV they would notice them.  Well, hopefully the fumigation gets rid of them and they don't have a continuing problem!

I LOVE country festivals!  You'll have to let me know when you go to one in the AZ area and I'll come out.  I used to go to festivals all the time but it's been years since I've gone.  I think I need to start saving up to go again!

  • They aren't getting the RV fumigated! EW right?! Crazy boys.

I think I will for sure be going to Country Thunder next year. There aren't anymore in AZ this year. :( But we will def go next year!!!

I really wanna go to Voodoo, but funds are tight. :(
