Favorite seafood restaurant

Can anyone give any recommendations aside from Legal Seafood?  Thanks!

Re: Favorite seafood restaurant

  • I used to love Catch in Winchester; they've apparently since changed the restaurant to Parsons Table but I think it's the same chef.  It's not strictly a seafood restaurant per se, but they do have excellent seafood (well, Catch did at least).

Atlantic Fish Company is supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it yet.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I love Finz in Salem and I have been wanterd to try Oceanaire it is supposed to be very good I have not been there yet.
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • Oldie but goodie: Union Oyster House. We actually had our rehearsal dinner there because we had so many people from out of town and we thought it would be cool to have them eat at the oldest restaurant in America!
  • I've heard the Naked Fish is good. But it is a chain so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

Oh I've been there once for lunch; it is pretty good.

  • I really enjoyed Skipjacks in the Back Bay. And DH and I love going to the Chart House.

We've been dying to go to the Chart House. Maybe I'll take H on a surprise date there next weekend!

  • Thanks guys.  He told me this morning that he would rather stay around here instead of driving into the city...so I guess we will be heading to Fish Bones.  It is a nice place...I was just looking for something a bit more special.

Aww, bummer...can you compromise and go to Parsons Table in Winchester?  It's such a cozy little restaurant and is nicer without being stuffy, KWIM?

  • The Barking Crab was always hit or miss for us, but we went there when we had friends from out-of-town since its right near the Harpoon Brewery and it was featured on Man v. Food.  I liked the Clambake and tried the Fisherman's Platter but it was ALL fried which is too much IMO.

I just made a reservation there.  The menu looks good.  Thanks Rock!

Oh awesome!  Be sure to come back and tell me how you like it, because I haven't had a chance to try it since it changed from being Catch.
