I hope everyone is having a great Monday morning! How was your weekend?
Friday night we had dinner with our neighbors, which was nice and relaxing. Saturday was a lazy day with nothing much accomplished. Sunday I had a great meeting at WW (lost 5.6 pounds), had a great lunch with friends and possibly (don't want to get ahead of ourselves) found our church!
Re: Good Morning
Sounds like you had a pretty great weekend! Congrats on the weight loss!
Our weekend kind of stunk unfortunately. DH had issues with a torn muscle last week and was on crutches. Then on Saturday his temp spiked to 103 and he could hardly walk so we went to ER and were there for four hours. They got the fever down but basically said we had to go a different ER where they had a radiologist for a certain test. We go to the other ER Sunday at 7 am and were there for 8 hours. Turned out that he didn't need a radiologist, nor did they have one on Sundays anyways, but an orthopoedic surgeon came in and found out that basically a pre-existing condition he has was aggravated by the tendon tear which led to inflammation in his hips and back and was spreading throughout his body. As of this morning his temp is normal and the drugs they gave him seem to be little miracle pills b/c he can sort of walk/limp around now.
All in all, it was a crazy, stressful weekend and I am quite frustrated with both of the hospitals we went to, but relieved that they figured out the problem. It just seems like you should be able to get any tests that you need to stay healthy no matter what day of the week it is. People get sick on weekends too. Oh and we missed this big dinner event that I'd been planning for 3 weeks. Oh well
Wow-that was a long vent.... haha. Anyways, I'm hoping for a much better week and next week we're going to Vegas so I'm looking forward to that!
Congrats on losing the weight and potentially finding a church!
It was a scorcher outside this weekend so unfortunately we didn't do too much.
Saturday, DH took care of our son while I whipped out the sewing machine and made a shirt. I haven't sewed in forever, so that felt great!
Sunday, we went to church, hung around the house, and made a quick trip to the mall for DS some shoes.
I hope next weekend is cooler. I missed getting outside this weekend!
Good Morning! I'm glad to hear your DH is OK, Sparty, that sounds like a really tiring and frustrating experience.
My weekend was pretty good. DH's parents were in town Friday night to go to dinner to celebrate DH's birthday. I had made him a cake, my MIL brought a cake, and we got a free cake from Angus Barn so yeah, we had a lot of cake. Saturday I worked out, then we went to a beer tasting @ a local brewery, then we went shopping for DH's subs for his car as his bday gift. Yeah, subs, I think DH is 27 going on 17. Sunday we didn't do much, just chilled around. It was a great weekend of laziness!
