So I'm making some changes...

in my life. A few years ago I lost 25 lbs because I was unhappy with myself. Of course (what would have inspired this post?) I gained it back and now have decided to make some changes in my lifestyle. My goal isn't to lose a load of weight just to gain it all back, I want to lose weight and remain healthy. Dh is instrumental in all of this due to him knowing first hand how hard it is to lose and maintain (he lost 50+ lbs 4 years back and has only gained back around 10).

Wish me luck, I want to lose at least 15lbs before I leave for NYC with my friend, the other I would love to lose before dh's birthday.

  • Oh, good luck.  I did WW a couple of years ago and LOVED it.  If I had the drive I think I would have been able to keep it off but....  It just wasn't a priority for me! 

    And unrelated, you will have a PM in just a second.

  • There are lots of us here trying to lose weight and/or have successfully lost weight. You're in good company! I visit the H&F board a lot, they're pretty knowledgeable.

    We used to have healthy check ins, but I kind of dropped the ball on that and we haven't done it in a while.

  • GL to you! I am starting an excerise program actually tonight. I would like to lose about 20 lbs.

    That's awesome for YH loosing the weight. Maybe you two can start working out together to keep eachother motivated to stay healthy.

  • Good luck!!  I decided to make some changes as well and, like you, wanted it to be about more than just losing weight--I decided to make a lifestyle change.  I joined WW in January and I'm loving it!  

    The girls here are very supportive and encouraging, best of luck to you!
  • Good for you! I'm in the same boat as well, trying to make exercise a daily thing. It's hard, but so worth it. Go git 'em!
  • Good luck!! I was extremely overweight in HS (ok obese!) and did WW my first year of college and never looked back with my eating habits (well I'm not such a food nazi as I was and I don't count pregnancy :0)
