Would You Buy an iPhone Right Now?
H and I are due for an upgrade with AT&T. We've held off and neither of us even has internet on our phones so, of course, we're ready to upgrade to the iPhone, but I know there are some issues right now.
Have the problems been fixed with the bumper cases or should we wait it out until they manufacture something "new and improved?" We find ourselves in situations quite frequently where one of us says, "We REALLY need an iPhone!" so if it's not a big deal, I'd rather not wait too much longer!
Also, never having used an iPhone before, would you recommend the 16 or the 32GB? I have no idea how much space things take up!
Re: Would You Buy an iPhone Right Now?
Now that I have a case on mine it seems to be working fine.
As far as 16 vs 32: I have a 16 and I have about 3500 pics (our whole website) and 270+ songs and 10 apps on mine and I have plenty of space left.

I see you already bought yours, so i'll edit my post about the issues...
Dh and I both have the new iPhone and have both had signal issues that seem to be resolved with a case (we do not have the Apple Bumper official type of case, but some cheapo 1 cent rubbery case from ebay that a coworker of DH's bought in bulk. lol) I just updated my phone's software and haven't noticed any *worse* of a problem with dropped calls or terrible signal. It's fine most everywhere.
One of the odd issues that we are both having is a problem with the black screen? When you hit the main round button (dont know what it's called), it is supposed to turn the screen on so you can slide to unlock. Sometimes when we hit this button the screen flickers for a millisecond and goes back to black. You have to hit it a few times, or even hit the button on the top to get the screen to turn on. We were told that the next software update will resolve this (as well as the sensor issue).

I have a 3Gs and I love it, and no, I didn't buy the new one. I'm due for an upgrade (which sounds so weird to me, I've only had it a year!) but I think I'll wait for the 5.
My friend has the 4 and she likes it a lot. She got it through work, but she freely admits she wouldn't have paid for it - she had a 3 before and it was fine for her.
And to be totally honest, I don't like the look of the 4. I have the white in the 3Gs and I like the way it looks a lot more.
It?s a beautiful piece and the sound quality is awesome. I have almost 1500 songs and 10 applications. I have it for last 4 months and no trouble so far.
I have had the 3GS through work like a previous poster. The phone itself is awesome. The AT&T service on it is less then stellar. THat being said, I would not pay for the Iphone on the AT&T network but when it does come out on the Verizon network (which could be sooner or later - who really knows) I would pay for that.
I travel (through out the Midwest) with it and find that my coverage is sporadic. I carry my Sprint phone as a just in case. DH has the Evo through Sprint and when I have the upgrade available will upgrade my black berry to that.
We got them and we really like them. The only downside is that the reception in the apartments that we live in are poor compared to what we could get with the 3G phone.
The other thing that we don't really like is that the screen is very sensitive. When you are talking to someone on the phone you have problems with calling other people within the contact list or accidentally hanging up all together.
The phone is sooooo fast compared to the 3G though. We like them so far but I hate the reception problem.
