How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was great!  Friday I did some shopping and then DH and I finished decorating the bedroom.  We cooked dinner and hung out together watching shows on the dvr and drank some yummy champagne.

Saturday we had DH's b-day party which was tons of fun.  I was a little disappointed that about half the people that said they were coming didn't end up showing up, but we still had a good group and it was a good time.

Sunday I cleaned up the aftermath of the party, we did our grocery shopping and relaxed.

And lucky me I still have today before I go back to work tomorrow :)  I love working 3 12's!  I'm going to lunch with a friend, and I'm making Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti for dinner tonight (this is a huge thing for me, I am not the best cook lol).

Re: How was everyone's weekend?

  • @Deanna, I am so jealous of your three 12-hour shifts, that would be so amazing to have the other four days off!

This weekend was pretty great, I feel accomplished!  lol

Saturday, I weighed in and found that I lost 4 lbs (thank you Master Cleanse) after 5 days of dieting/starving.  I had my boudoir session, which was awkward/hilarious/fun at the time, and the end result was amazing!  I also hung out with Stacy, and then just vegged the rest of the day.

Sunday, we moved 5 tons of gravel.  I have a lovely sunburn and back ache to show for it.  After that we saw Inception, which practically gave me a heart attack.  And we swam at my parents and watched True Blood.

  • We had a great weekend.  On Friday I got all our invitations printed and ready to go, It was a lot easier then I thought it would be and didn?t take me nearly as long as I had planned Big SmileI was so proud of my DYI invites and how much I saved on them =)

Saturday, I cleaned house and ran errand, grocery store and post office to by stamps for said invites =) Then CJ went and saw Inception with his friend/groomsman Jason then they both came back to our house and I cooked them some dinner and some snacks while they played some video games.  Then we had brownie sundaes for desert.

Sunday, was just kind of a lazy day. We went shopping but only CJ bought something, and new video game and controller to his PS3? Then we went home and he played said video game while I took a nap? I love naps.  We started talking more seriously about family planning, then I prepped a ton of stuff from our BB had some dinner and finished the laundry and went to bed.

All in all it was a great weekend, I love it when we have at least one day to just lounge around and do nothing Big Smile

  • I feel like we did nothing!

Friday night I made spicy sausage lasagna.  It was amazing.

Saturday I had an eye doctors appt - ordered some new contacts.  Then vegged out the rest of the day.

Sunday I baked some muffins, then proceeded to eat them all (with help!).  Watched a bunch of episodes of Heroes for fun.  Did my nightly run and made it to 1.2 miles!  Go me!

    It wasn't very eventful :(

  • MMMMMMMM Let me know how that turns out! I really need to be a better cook also but I HATE it! lol

Friday night DH and I watched a movie, Invictus, and had some wine. He liked it but I didn't.

Saturday, I saw Taylor and met her sis! then went to the Dbacks/Giants game with a huuuge group of people. That was fun but I ended up having to take care of someone's Mom because it was the day before the 1 year anniversary of losing her husband so she was a MESS!!! Then we went back to her house for the night and slept over since they had people over.

Sunday, we lounged and napped! I did some laundry and we went out for lunch for greasy food to help our hungover stomachs. lol

  • Friday-Hubs and I stayed home and I made chicken parmesan and we watched a movie on TV. Not much of an eventful day

Saturday- I went over to my parents, DH had to work. I went to Target with my mom and my nephew. After that I just went home to make some chicken that I marinated in Italian dressing. I also watched When in Rome, it was a cute movie. .

Sunday-I went over to my in-laws to wash come clothes since our machine is broken and wont be fixed till Wednesday. I watched some baseball while over there and had a chat with them, fun day. But I hate smelly dogs, gross. Then I came home and put all the clothes away and clean up a bit and watched The Client List and Drop Dead Diva. just an average Sunday..

     now on to this week.

  • My weekend was great, however, way to short. Luckily, I too, work 3 12's so I get 4 days off a week. I honestly don't know how people work 5 days a week!

Friday- Got home from work. Got DS ready to go to his sitter, slept for a few hours in the morning (worked the night before), picked up DS. Came home played with him, did some laundry, then DH came home from work and we planned on watching a movie but I fell asleep at 8. Lame, I know.

Saturday- DS spent the day with DH and I went shopping with my mom. Got a great deal on a side table at the goodwill that I plan on stripping and repainting. Went to dinner with DS, DH and my mom at Cheesecake Factory, then went to see Eclipse with my mom. Which by the way was amazing if you haven't seen it already.

Sunday- Went to the gym, went grocery shopping, did laundry. Then watched Hot Tub Time Machine with the hubs before bed.

Speaking of Cheesecake Factory, I am so excited for Friday! :)

  • I had kind of an emotional weekend. Lots of ups and downs.

Friday night we had an awesome dinner and stayed at our wedding resort for free. They even upgraded us to the same suite we stayed at on our wedding night. Unfortunately I was an emotional wreck for some reason when we went to bed and kinda ruined the romance of it.

Saturday morning I got to get a short massage and pedicure at the spa and hang out there for a couple hours. Spa days may be my new favorite hobby. Then DH and I did some birthday shopping at Fashion Square(he hung in there like a trooper) and went to CPK for dinner with some friends before braving the crowd at Dave & Busters.

Sunday I had to work a little bit, the AC in my truck went out for no reason on the way to work, had dinner with the in laws, then got a killer headache and felt generally blah all night:(

I'm a little exhausted from our staycation lol.

  • Mine was good! Mike and I went out for an O'Douls on Friday night. ;)  On Saturday, we had our child birth class all day long and then went out to dinner with some friends. On Sunday, we saw Inception (SO good!) and then did lots of shopping the rest of the afternoon. Busy but fairly uneventful!
  • Mine was exciting.

Friday we went to a dback game.  My sister-in-law went into labor on Saturday so we went up to Prescott for the birth.  My nephew was born at 1:22 on Sunday so I got very little sleep but it was so worth it.  He is so cute, I wish he was closer to Phoenix.
