Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

update on my nephew
Went with SIL today, it was very productive.
Met with new pedi, he is referring her to a pedatric urologist out of childrens hospital (not the one from Mindy and Marina, but I forgot his name, It starts with an H I think) to take care of his undescended testicle.
After interviewing my SIL and evaluating nephew, he referred nephew to a regional center for testing. ?He thinks nephew may be slightly autistic, or have a mild form of cerebral palsy.
Nephew doesn't speak, only grunts, (he will be 2 next month) still walks as if he is just learning to walk, he started walking late, well he did everything late. ?Doesn't respond when you speak to him. He has other little things that I just didn't put together.
SIL already has the appt for his evalutation for next week.
I found out during the appt that she would bring up stuff like the delays & speech to her old pedi and that lady would just brush SIL off.
I am so happy she got this new pedi. Now at least nephew can get good care.

Oh Michelle, it just breaks my heart to learn that your SIL had to go through this with such a horrible doctor. We should be able to rely on what we're told.
And then to learn that he may have some other issues is just upsetting. The good news is that he is now with a new doctor that will get some testing done and be able to make some recommendations.
