f/u Spices
Sara's post reminded me that I never told you ladies how the spices went. I haven't had a chance to try a lot of them, but I have tried a few and so far I'm super impressed! The cinnamon = amazing! Huge difference between the good stuff and the store crap. I was also really impressed with the dried basil. I got a small bottle of ground pepper, and I know that once it's ground it starts to lose flavor but I love having pepper that I can measure instead of grinding and guessing how much I'm putting in. And so far the pepper is very potent!
Penzey's sent my box of spices to me super quick (and I think they took a hit on the shipping cost. It was a big box, very heavy and coming to Alaska, and they only charged me $15 shipping), each bottle was wrapped in paper to protect it, and they even sent me a free bottle of Lemon Pepper!
