For those that have seen Inception...(spoilers)

I almost had three separate heart attacks watching that movie.  Geez louise.

And here I am, a day later, still questioning random stuff from the movie...

Why, oh why, was Leo on the beach delirious in the end???  He went from holding Moll/Maul <sp> in their house to the beach?  Hmmm?  WTH.

And why was the Asian guy so freakin old in the end?  B/c of the compounded time thing?  Leo was in limbo for a bit too, and his lovely face was just as youthful.

ETA:  I liked the movie, don't get me wrong, it is so rare to see a new movie that really gets you thinking.

  • The beach delirious thing: I think that's because that's where his "dream" started in that level.

And yeah, I think the asian guy was so old because of how time dragged on more and more for each level, so he'd supposedly been there for years on end.

So do we think Leo was dreaming at the end?! The kids being in the same clothes leads me to think he WAS dreaming. Or could it just be a crazy coincidence? ARG, I hate when I don't have a definitive ending!

Idk, but James' face seemed to resembled a gremlin, IMO.  lol

Hahaha! Ok, now I officially have to see it again to look for the gremlin face.

  • He was on the beach because that's where he and his wife landedwhen they first went in to limbo.  Maybe that's how everyone enters the limbo state?

Yes, the dude was way older because of his compounded existence in limbo.

I think Leo was still in limbo at the end.  I hate not having a happy ending - but it doesn't make sense that the children not only were wearing the same thing, and seemed the same age as when he left.  They never say how long it was, but my presumption was that he had been away for quite some time, so they should have aged.

I like that the ending made you think - but damnit, I wanted CLOSURE.

    It was SO good though!

    That's exactly how I felt!

And good point about the kids not aging -- I hadn't thought of that.

  • I love Christopher Nolan movies! This one was the best one by far.

I agree, he had to be dreaming. I went as far as thinking that some of the characters represented his ego and superego.

My favorite part was the fight scene in the hotel hallway. The way they built that set is so cool. (Nick is in film school, so I've learned to love how the movie is made).
