XP: Afternoon Party Menu

I lurk on here from time to time and you have great entertaining ideas so I am looking for your help.

This Saturday I am having a small Pampered Chef Party at my house. It's mostly neighbors, my mom & sister and 2 college friends. It starts at 3pm and I was thinking of just doing chips, dips, some small finger app's, but I feel like I should do hoagies or something else. I don't want to use an oven if I don't have to.

What would you serve at a small afternoon party? Should I do a theme? The food the Pampered Chef woman will cook is Mexican. I already have the beverages covered.

Re: XP: Afternoon Party Menu

  • Why not do tapas? Here is a great place to start.

Or if you don't want to do a theme.... will there be wine served?  You could do a nice wine, cheese, fruit & dark chocolate spread.

When I do parties like this I like to have a menu that looks like this: veggie tray, dip with crackers or chips, 1 or 2 finger foods, dessert (fruit and/or a small treat like cake balls, truffles, chocolate covered pretzel rods, etc - something that is easy to eat without a cutting, utensils or a plate)
