I'm pretty sure my dog is peeing on it. I'm in Minnesota so at this point, can I move it while it's still sort of alive to a different part of the yard or should I wait until this Fall to move it?

Re: Clematis is dying
Are you all having a lot of dryness and heat this summer (like what part of the country isn't?!) ? If so, you might want to wait until fall. If it's already compromised, moving it in the middle of summer may just weaken it.
Also, my clematis "died" the first year I planted it, remained "dead" the second year, and damn if it didn't come back this year!! There could be some hope, and I think they are supposed to be pretty tough. Maybe leave it where it is, and in the fall, plant a second clematis where you would have moved this one. You never know!
