Everything bagel with cream cheese and lox. or cream cheese and tomato (when I don't want to splurge on lox)

My fave: Bagels & Buns, on Victory Blvd on SI. I have had many bagels in Manhattan and I don't think any compare to B&B
I'm a sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese lover. I have been known to eat my bagel smeared with avocado instead.
I also admit that I do love a good toasted bagel every now and then. With butter.
Lately, I've been getting my bagels at my local place. On Ascan in Forest Hills. I don't even remember the name of it.
Ooh, Helene, everything bagel with cream cheese and lox is one of my faves!!
It depends if I'm in the mood for salty or sweet. If I want sweet, I go for strawberry or chocolate chip cream cheese on a cinnamon raison bagel. If I want salty I go for lox or veggie cream cheese on an everything.
Sometimes I keep it simple and get a cinnamon raison with butter.
Untoasted! I like it soft and smushy.
Best bagel place in NY is A&S Bagels in Franklin Square. They are open 24 hours, and if you go around 3:00am they are baking the bagels for the next day. Your bagel will be so hot the chocolate chips in the cream cheese will melt.
A&S is by my college and I ate there at LEAST twice a week for four years.
Everything bagel toasted with butter.
I haven't found a great deli in my area yet, but I really enjoy Hot and Crusty bagels and bialys.
Everything bagel toasted with tofu veggie cream cheese from Brooklyn Bagel Shop on Union St. & 4th Ave.
I've been known to also go with an everything bagel toasted with a little butter.....
Also a nice tip for all you soon to be new mom's: have friends family bring over a dozen + bagels for the early postpartum. It was a great food to easily eat and have on hand.
OMG, I totally forgot about Hot & Crusty. Their everything bagels are freakin awesome, with lox cream cheese.
i have a few combinations that i rotate through, depending on my state of existance...they even have code names so that if DH is going on the bagel run, he knows what to get me. (soooooooooo not spoiled
)
the usual: bacon and egg on an everything. NO CHEESE!
hung over: cream cheese, lox, tomato, and onion on a poppy.
REALLY hung over: butter on a toasted sesame.
something different: walnut cream cheese on a cinnamon raisin.
ETA: favorite bagel shop is by far bagel world in brooklyn. we go to the one on 5th ave and 5th street.
