I know it's been done

I know this has been done, but I got this great crockpot book for my birthday, and I'm thinking about cooking just crockpot meals until I use them all.  DH will still cook every other day, and can make whatever.  I use my crockpot a lot when I'm teaching, because I don't get home until late and I think this might challenge myself.  The only exceptions would be that we don't eat veal or lamb.  What do you think?

Re: I know it's been done

  • Sounds good, hopefully you end up liking most of the recipes. If you're looking for another to add to your list, I really like this one:

IDK what's up w/ it's picture looking like a sandwich wrap, though!  I like to use fresh mushroom instead of canned, it's really good on mashed potatoes!

  • In college my roomates and I used crockpots all the time for dinner. There are some wonderful things that can just be thrown in there and left to simmer for a few hours. I will say that it took us about a month to get the hang of what to cook and what not to cook in a crock pot but after that we used it at least 3 times a week and clean up was a breeze.
