XP: If you could rec one book?

I need book recs. My Kindle is empty and I'm bored.  I generally love any book I read, Chick-lit, mystery, drama, a series, what-evs. I'm a really easy please when it comes to books. So anything goes.

Thanks in advance. Big Smile

Re: XP: If you could rec one book?

  • Love these posts because I always get some new ideas, too!  But here are my recs for you.  They are both books I've read and books that come highly recommended that I have gotten to yet!

     The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman

    Any Chelsea Handler

If I Am Missing or Dead by Janine Latus

    Any Jodi Piccoult

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger (way better than the movie)

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure more will come. =)

Oh yeah - Daughter of Fortune & Portrait in Sepia by Isabel Allende

Sara B BabyFruit Ticker VOTE on my Name List
  • I recently finished Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. On Goodreads it's under "urban history" or something like that. I have no idea what that means, but it was an easy read. Entertaining, somewhat predictable, fantasy driven, etc. It won't change your life, but will provide some entertainment.

I've also read all of the Women's Murder Club books by James Patterson and I enjoyed all of them, I would def. recommend those. I also read the Rizzoli & Isles series by Tess Gerritson and liked those a lot also. The R&I series are a little more graphic and gritty then the WMC series.

Lets see... one book I read recently that I really, really loved was A Dirty Job: A Novel by Christopher Moore. It's funny, sad, twisty, FUNNY. I literally lol-ed at so many parts.

I also recently read The Quickie, and Sundays at Tiffanys, both by James Patterson and both easy & entertaining reads. The Quickie is more suspense-drama, and Sundays at Tiffanys is more romance-y.

I know you asked for 1 book, but I just never know what people would like. If I have to pick one it would be A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore. I loved it.

  • right now i am reading the girl with the dragon tattoo series. love it.

the women's murder club series by james patterson

the temperance brennan series by kathy reichs

the alexandra cooper series by linda fairstein

the kay scarpetta series by patricia cornwell (a new book is coming out soon)

the myron bolitar series by harlan corben

can you tell i like series?
