Hi!
I keep thinking of things to ask about sandals antigua...
Did you check in online? If you did, did you have to check in for you and your husband, or just for whoever the reservation was under?
Was the departure tax included in your airfare? how did you know?
any last minute tips? we're going to do the zipline and the catamaran, and we're going to book when we get there.
TIA! I'm sure I will probably have at least one more question haha

I was away last week, I didnt see this till today. I think you left today but I'll answer just in case lol
In Antigua you pay the departure fee when you check in at the airport. It's $20 per person, cash only. we had no clue until we were checking in to leave. thank god we had cash. In antigua you go thru customs after you have checked in at the airline counter. you walk into the airport and get in the customs line. they do not search you or your bags until you are getting ready to board your flight. When you're getting ready to walk out onto the tarmac (yes you walk out onto the strip lol) they line up everyone for your flight and search you and your carry on bags at that time. you have to removed your shoes, they patted us down and went thru everything in our carry on's. I found it a little unnerving that anyone who was flying first class did not wait in line, nor were they searched. they were allowed to walk onto the tarmac and board the plane. all they did was show their boarding pass and off they went.
every island is different. it was a completely different procedure in st. croix.
