Stock the Bar gift idea

Has anyone given a fun stock the bar gift?  DH & I are invited to our good friends Housewarming party with this theme.  I want to spend about $25-30.  I didn't want to do just a bottle of vodka.  Any ideas? And is there another board I should post this on? TIA!

My favorite thing to do since I don't drink much is to go to a nice bottle shop (my fav. is Smyrna World of Beverage) and ask the associates what they recommend. I've given some nice gifts that way.

Well, with that budget (which is about what I would spend), there isn't too much more you can do if you want to get them a bottle of liquor.  What about a nice set (or just one depending on the price) of bar towels.  You could get them a set of glasses or a shaker but depending on what brand of vodka you get, you'll probably be going outside the budget.  Or you could do some cool coasters too!

But I like the idea of just getting them a really nice bottle of something.  Grey Goose is my favorite vodka!

agreed. You can find bar towels there too. & Make a decent gift basket of all of those items together.

Yes!! Also my in-laws have this. Its a great handy little item, especially when you are entertaining.

this is a good idea. for less than your budget, i've gone to home goods and bought a cute book with drink recipes, margarita glasses and margarita mix
