Hi! I am new here!
Hi! I am new to this board and I wanted to stop by and say hello. I mostly post on the West Coast Florida Nest board but I wanted to venture out. I live in South Texas but not really any where close to SA. It's a long shot but I was wondering if anyone from the Corpus area visits this board?
I have lived in Texas for about 7 years and I am originally from Orlando, FL. I moved here with my H (bf at the time) when he took a job with the Border Patrol. We are hoping to move back to FL one day but in the mean time we are making the most of living in South Texas. I am a SAHM to my daughter Macy who was born last December.
Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi! Hope everyone is enjoying their week.

Awesome! I haven't found too many people from the Corpus area on these boards. I actually live in Ricardo, which is about 5 miles south of Kingsville. It's kinda a dump down here but we are trying to make the best of it. I am hoping we will move to Corpus (if not back to FL) in the next few years. Definitely before my daughter goes to school!
What brought you down to Texas? Do you like it?
I am game for a GTG if you ever get enough people together! Let me know!

I actually work in Kingsville
We moved to Corpus when my husband accepted a job last year. We came from Phoenix but we've lived all over before that (between us we've lived in OK, IL, TN, PA and NJ). We like it enough for now, there are definitely some things we're still getting used to but we know it's not a permanent stay. We just bought a house about 2 months ago and we figure we'll be ready to move back to the northeast in 3-5 years.

I would like to meet other people from the area. I try to explain Kingsville to my WCF Nestie friends and I am pretty sure they think I make some of the stuff up. It's a different place down here!
