Dear God, why does Babbs do this to those kids?
Re: Dear God, why does Babbs do this to those kids?
actually, I never said kids had style, I said kid's clothes.
and does this mean I should return the chiuhaua bag I bought to carry my tot around in Paris-style?

putting that headband on your kid is like the adult version of sporting this:
I don't care who you are... it's horrible.
I think its this statement that just makes me scratch my head.
I think we're mocking the excess.
That I am 100% behind.
Well, until you dress Jo in baby skater rags, you have no room to judge. Your kid must have "toddler brangelina cool" style first.
Anytime a kid's clothing says "mommy/daddy's little [noun]" (whether monogrammed or screen printed) I think it's absurd. I have strong feelings about clothes for babies w/ statements.
But, here, it's really just the sum of all parts making it over the top ridiculous. At least each can look back and say, "well, at least I wasn't the only one who looked like an a'hole".
My kid is a nerd. From her modest bathing suits right down to her sturdy sensible toddler shoes, she's all nerd. I promise not to mock babies wearing suspenders and high rise pants because of my nerdy ways.
A lady came into my store wearing this and a light up wallpapered walker. She was 87 so I think she earned it.
My kid's style can be classified as Target Chic/Cheap. Which is a teeny tiny step above homeless, I think.
yeah, I'd put E in the "Kidstyle Kool Klub." maybe I should have used him as my example and I wouldn't be facing the mochery of my Brangelina reference.

"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
This was his smokin in the bathroom look before he went all GTL.
Is that more Jersey Shore than WT?
I love babies dressed as old men. I have an awesome cardigan I can't wait to break out once it's actually cold here.
"As of page 2 this might be the most boring argument ever. It's making me long for Rape Day." - Mouse
That not really a viable argument since they're wearing equally tragic bows in just about every picture taken of them.
I hate excessive words and "mommy and daddy" themed clothes. Good luck finding a bib for a little baby without that crap all over it. Ugh.
Maggie's everyday style is Carter's clothes that the grandmas buy for her. I know lots of people on the baby boards hate Carter's for toddlers (too babyish, um dudes they are closer to baby age than teenage, why rush it?) I think she looks cute and I don't feel bad if they get stained.
Owen is rocking the onesie-easy look. I expect he will wear a lot of preppy stuff and pooped collars when it gets cooler outside.
Yes. This. This horrible "baby style" is consistent. And I tell ya, if my MIL gave me that sh*t and I made my kid wear it while being photographed, that pic would NOT appear in my blog.
I am so opposed to baby/toddler clothing with words on it. I have reached excitedly for so many adorable shirts/onesies in Matt's life time...only to be assaulted with "Chicks Dig Me!" or "My Mommy Loves Me" or some other bs. The most I will tolerate is a "woof" or a "rawr" and even then the actual print has to be otherwise irresistible.
I guess Matt is casual sporty bebeh look. I am all about elastic and tees and stuff that moves easily so he can climb and jump and romp around unfettered. I avoid a lot of buttons, snaps, denim etc.
A guy that works at Seba's office, his son is dressed to the nines every day. Belts and accessories and stuff. He's kind of a ninny too.
This times 100. It drives me mental. I get all excited until I pick it up and realize it says something stupid. I do love his dinosaur tshirt with the RAWR talk bubble though. That one tickles me for some reason. Every article of clothing with words on it that he owns was a gift.
I'm saving this post for when your MIL buys your future children Disney shiit.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
Oh man, I love the dinosaurs saying "rawr" stuff. I don't know why. Otherwise I hate about 95% of baby/toddler clothing that has some sort of saying on it. And I keep trying to sign Babbs up for Intervention to break her bow addiction, but they say she hasn't hit rock bottom yet. I guess they're waiting for her to upgrade to showgirl style headdresses.
"That chick wins at Penises, for sure." -- Fenton
Where do you get toddler belts and accessories? Granted I haven't shopped the boy toddler section yet.
I want to get Owen a sailor suit.
