this is odd....

As many of you know we just bought our house about 3 months ago and we've been living her since the wedding. Well, our backyard is under "construction". Cody has been cutting down limbs of this giant tree so it won't tear up our roof and he has yet to clean them up so we just avoid our backyard until he can get back there when its not 105 degrees out...Well...There is this gray thing that I assumed was an old rag or something that got covered in dirt and mud from all the rain. The little girl across the street came over yesterday because she thought a bunny had gone into our back yard and she wanted to see it....so we went back there and she goes "that's my dead cat RJ, I buried him there"....ummmmmmmmmmm WHAT? do you know how many times my dog has pissed on that thing? YUCK...

  • Um... "what," "eww," and "sad" all seem to be appropriate here!
  • no its right by our back door but we never spend time outside so I didn't really take notice of it....I'll have to take a picture...its disturbing to know what that is now.

  • i saw your status on FB and couldn't help but laugh and laugh and laugh!
  • Gross and sad!!!  When I was kid, when one of our animals passed away, I was hysterical for weeks and my parents would bury it in a spot in our backyard... not someone ELSE'S backyard!!!  How strange!!

  • Yes odd indeed! Sad as well! What the heck!!!
  • I'm foreseeing an interesting future for this child.

Very creepy and gross. I wonder if the parents ever questioned what happened to the cat.

hahah gold this is kinda what i wanted to say but couldn't find the words!

  • My house was vacant for a long time before the lady we bought it from flipped it....so I guess....the kids would come climb the giant tree in the backyard and once the cat got mawled by the dog they just decided to bury it back there. Im definitely going to have cody yank that thing out of there before it really starts decomposing. I'm acutally suprirsed that its still furry...

  • I have nothing to add to this conversation, but would like to ask: what kind of a neighborhood do you live in?

And: is this kid a total creepster?

  • She is like the neighborhood nomad. I don't know what her mom does all day but this kid is all over the place. She's 7 years old and she's always coming over to my house to see the dogs and wanting me to come out with the dogs and then she bothers both neighbors on either side of me because they have kids and she wants them to come out and play with her. She has just never been taught any different.

  • That's so gross.  And I do not see good things in that child's future.

  • Poor kid. Sounds like she's desperate for the companionship and attention she's not getting at home. :(
