offered a job, but haven't heard anything
I had 2 phone interviews for an online teaching job. After the 2nd one, on a Friday, she told me she'd give me a call Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday she called to offer me the job, so 1 day late. She said I should get an email from HR w/ paper work and explained what the paper work would be and how I'd have to fill it out. She said if I didn't hear from them by Monday to give her a call. I didn't get anything so I called Tuesday, I didn't hear back from her so I called again this morning and still haven't hear anything. I don't get it? Any ideas on what's going on?

Keep checking your email (have you checked your spam folder?), and if you don't hear anything after another day or two, try sending them an email. Maybe you could say that you hadn't heard anything, so you wanted to make sure they had your correct email address.
I am SO busy sometimes that by the time I get around to returning phone calls, it's too late in the day. I feel uncomfortable calling people at certain times. If it's really not urgent, it can take 2-3 days for me to return a phone call.
But you never know... Maybe someone in the office is on vacation, or had a family emergency, or the background check is taking longer than expected (maybe they want to see the results before they contact you again). Things happen... Don't go crazy calling and leaving tons of messages, you're only going to annoy someone.
