I worked from home today, but had a 3pm appt in Chandler, so I was gone maybe an hour and a half. This is what I came home to:
The view from the front door:
I'm pretty sure it was hit by lightening!!!!
Sooooo crazy!!! If I wouldn't have left for my appt, one of the huge 20+ ft. branches would have landed on my new Tahoe I just bought last week! And I can't believe the other two branches weren't hit, those would have landed on the house!
Re: Holy Monsoon!!! PIP
OMG! Thank goodness you had an appointment! That's insane. Does your insurance cover that???
Sidenote - my drive home on Grande was pretty scary! My car went swimming about three times because the road was flooding completely across all lanes.
Oh wow! That is insane Erin!!
It's crazy windy/raining here now. No thunder / lightning but I can barely see anything outside it is coming down so hard!
I NEED it to clear up so my son can land. He's on a plane into Phx from NH and it's been a rough go of it (he almost missed the flight)... I'm hoping it stops soon!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!

It just started to rain here! Thank GOD!
There is a small amount of lightning too!

Well, to add to monsoon damage...
The rain we had in Jan. somehow got behind our deck off our bedroom on the 2nd floor and the celing formed a huge leak. They came and "fixed" what they thought the issue was but this monsoon is proving that what they fixed wasnt the issue at all because now my kitchen ceiling is leaking, again! And plaster is actually coming out of the ceiling....
I am SOOOOO happy that I rent right now and it's not my problem..
Woah, glad you and your new car are alright.
At work we just had some crazy wind/rain and a few thunder claps that set off car alarms. Now I'm at home and it looks like it barely rained here.
